ADVERTISING, and the real-time auction marketplace for ads during page load.

it truly is the end of times.
>>
Web 3.0
- using JavaScript for fucking everything
- multiple JavaScript frameworks
- bigger, more frequent ads (more JavaScript and images to load)

When you're loading content from 10-15 different sources, the speed at which the page loads is tied to the slowest link.

Javascript

If you profile firefox most of the time is spent executing javascript code to generate their dynamic pages, etc.

That's pretty nifty idea if it's real.
I assume ads are one of the biggest attack vectors these days, so antivirus companies blocking ads could be a huge improvement for security.

Pretty much this. I miss the days of simple website designs, even the ones that just had simple ads on them.

why not just use adblock and noscript?

The people who use Norton probably don't know what AdBlock or NoScript is.

Browsers limit how much can be loaded at the same time.

But my internet is faster than ever.

That's because all of that JavaScript has to be parsed.

We've come full circle. We just have to wait for a new browser to come along and save us again.

When your web browser has the requirement of implementing a JIT compiler with garbage collector then you know something is fucking wrong.

>same pajeets get anyone who makes more work for them fired
>only pajeets and like minded lazy shits get jobs in industry
>few companies that don't work this way get bought out or pushed out
>the working model reverts back to Pajeet tier in an attempt to pay tribute to Indian CEO overlords

Something like that.
>>
>>54316123
This is a prime example. It has become a world where we blame user and tell them to upgrade instead of telling developers to be less lazy and write better code

install ublock and noscript

web is suddenly fast again.

I know what went wrong, web devs needed to justify the obscene prices they were charging
>>
Instead of optimizing their browser and actually competing with Chrome, they went full retard and started adding bloated features.

Instead of working of multiprocesses, they added pocket.

The problem is not the browser, rather, it's web 3.0.
>>54316230
Get's it.

Notice how sites like 4chan run fine on pretty much any browser? Now compare that to sites like cnn, ars technica, etc. Websites should strive to be as minimal as possible.

I've thought of a couple of solutions to this problem:

An extension like HTTPS everywhere that replaces proprietary poorly optimised javascript with optimized, libre js. It could be used for major websites and give those websites a minimal feel and light overhead while keeping functionality.

The other solution is to get webdevs on board with this concept to build a more accessible light and fast web. This helps everyone because:
Less data spent on your data cap.
Faster speed.
Your freedoms are preserved.

What does /g/ think? Sorry for the poor formating, mobilefreind.

Noscript + ublock origin werks

Web3.0 was something to concern yourself with outside of the language. Its not like coders stopped working between 2.0 and 2.9. But if instead of concerning yourself with the fall and decline of a grand enterprise you concerned yourself learning javascript and with being frustrated at how shitty future coders are gonna be, you wont consider the possibility of an era change and consign yourself to the relegated fate assuming itself over the industry/internet.

I forgwtbwherebi was going with this. Im just going to finish eating.
