Same for OS X. Fuck this shit.
I'm ditching both in order to install my Windows 10 copy on my mac mini and my ultrabook.

Theres plenty people that have multi monitor set ups which result in having weird resolutions when using things like eyefinity.

If you have multiple monitors, then use Windows or Linux.
If you have multiple ultra-high DPI monitors, then you're fucked. Having both is extremely uncommon.

Well that's hardly a valid complain, obviously using "4k" monitor out of the box is going to require setting up on linux
