What would you do to your smartphone to make it untraceable, besides changing the imei and the rom?

Unsolder the antenna from the boards.

>>54305129
They'd still be able to trace it.
>>

Rip out the GSM radio chip
Yes that's it
Network providers know our location by a technique called triangulation. Remember those Nokia 3000s days? We still had that little text on the screen saying our rough location. Yes they did that by triangulation, that can do it even more accurately now

Mobile phones cannot be untraceable unless they are not used as mobile phones at all

>>54305144
Sure but they wouldn't be able to trace me

>get my defcon issued lock pick set and on open boot of police car
>strategically place cell phone in boot with circuitry perma wired to car for "always on"
Mfw poolice in my country take home poolice cars and leave in public open view.
Thankfully I'm not a criminal :) oh i love my government to <3

That was just the location the tower you were connected to was broadcasting you egg, not triangulation.

Not saying that triangulation isn't possible but it wasn't done just to tell you your rough location.

Thanks for correcting me
Didn't know that

The bottom line still stands, you cannot be anonymous or untraceable while using the GSM radio
>>

What would you gain by sticking your cellphone in the boot of a police car?

Aside from giving them all your data.
>>
>>54305140
It's literally new, and sealed, i just can't trust the guy who sold it to me, i think he stole some of those phone. So i need to be sure i'm safe.

I know i would be still traceable, i just want to change my imei in case someone blocks it and restrain me from using this phone

Wut?
>>
Also, how would you change your imei?
>>
>>54305467
The same way in principle that you change your MAC address.
>>
>>54305569
Spoof your imei? Drool story yo.
>>
>>54305569
link me something?
>>
>>54305832
Porn is the best link, any scan worth its weight in devs shows spoofed everything.
>>
so is it spoofing the best solution to my problem?
>>
Take the sim out and put it in a Faraday cage.
