Echoing Blender. For the low, low price of fucking free, it's versatile and only surpassed by the likes of dedicated editing software. Since it seems OP uses Winblows anyway though, I'd also recommend DaVinci Resolve.

My niggas. Vegas has actually been my all-time favorite NLE since 7.0, but Pro 13 costs a downright extortive amount and the newer versions are a pain in the arse to crack when there are comparable cheaper alternatives. That's probably the reason Premiere is the industry standard these days, since it's "only" $20 a month for the program and every future update.
