How's your experience with 16.04 so far?

Pretty good. I'm about 70/30 now with time spent on Ubuntu and W10. Only using W10 for some proprietary software right now.
About the same as every release in the last 4 years.

Installation error, it says I have a faulty usb key, but it manages to install Debian without issues.
So stillonDebian/10, I guess.
Excellent.
Still on the 14.04/Win10 dual boot arrangement
>looking to forward upgrade to 16.04 and using it as primary OS
It seems Numix breaks on 16.04

The welcome center is fucking awesome. I have only had issue on my T410 when docked because Intel driver is fucking my dual monitor. Gaming PC w/ Nvidia works no issue. I use the PPA for numix and get a sha256 warning, but I install via apt-get so I ignore it. MATE flavor works for me.

I've used it on MATE flavor with no issue. Had to install via apt-get however.
I would suggest waiting until 16.04.1 releases if you are happy on 14.04.x
>>54290985
it's pretty terrible, just like every other linux distro.

Rather limited, yet notable.
I saw on distrowatch that there was a new+buntu, and experienced a mild wave of nausea wash over me as I recollected past unpleasant ubuntu experiences.
I'm waiting until 16.04.1 comes out. I don't want to have to be part of a second unofficial beta, because I use 14.04 on my primary comp and I prefer that it works.
I use the proprietary AMD drivers because I play civ 5 and other sid meier games. Anyone experience any issues with the open source AMD drivers?
Absolute shit.

Using Ubuntu Mate 16.04 senpai
>>54291463
I don't know what you did wrong, but Numix works great on all my 16.04 machines.
I changed from the MATE flavour to regular old Ubuntu unity and I really like it actually.

Already on 16.10 and basically SCARED
