I have a few old pc's available and would love to turn them into some sort of NAS, but Im not sure if pentium4-era pc's will do. So I've started listening to music for, well, pretty much the first time in my life and I'm starting to actually diversify my portfolio and kind of experience it for the first time. It's been a neat new thing for me to enjoy but despite how early I am into this, I'm having difficulty finding music I want to check out from "safe" sources (read: direct HTML downloads.) I'm on a college mass-provided internet connection and I dont know how strict they are about letters and all, so I don't want to risk hitting up TPB and getting RIAA rape threats in my mailbox. With that in mind, I'd kind of like to start with private trackers.
The only problem is... where the hell do I start? All I have to contribute is a 50Mbit/s upload connection that I can have always-on and always-seeding on my Cubieboard with plenty of space for torrents, but I don't have really much of any content to provide that isn't already out on the web (I mean, I'm sure I could find SOMETHING, but not music, that's for sure), and I doubt that's a worthwhile enough portfolio to even warrant an interview. I'd probably just get my application dumped; if I didn't, I'm sure they'd reject me based on the fact I have absolutely shit zero experience with music so far.
So what should I do, /ptg/? Should I even bother? Can I just be willing to work hard and put my seedbox forward and make painfully slow progress?

Oh well the reason why I added 2010s was because I used to upload BC and they didn't seem to get snatched. It might have changed, but all the stuff I uploaded with 2010s got autosnatched with tons of snatchers but I'm not sure if I was just lucky or if there is some correlation between it. But generally I believe the more tags the better. And sometimes you might get really weird tagging on BC like alternative hiphop rock or something, make sure it also uses what.cd's suggested tags.

And newbie fampai, the fastest way to tell whether or not something is autosnatched is to search the tag or whatever format you're uploading in descending order so you can see how all the other uploads are doing.
As far as I know there's nothing that lets you figure out how big the filesize is on bandcamp. However I used to have a very long search string I put together from the google search operators page which let me farm every available BC 2016 download which was more than 13 tracks long. Unfortunately you either missed an album with few but extremely long tracks or you ended up with albums with tracks that were like 10s long. Therefore I concluded that using BC's own pages was the better option because you might miss everything.
