A while back, µTorrent was packed with a bitcoin miner, and now it's packed with a ransomware Manamecrypt:
>The bundle consists of the genuine, working and properly signed µTorrent client with the malware component bundled “on top”
>Besides encrypting the files, Manamecrypt prevents certain applications from running if they have certain strings in their process name.

But of course, this is the best torrent client ever made, right /g/?
>µTorrent faggots on suicide watch.

This

Normal non-retarded people switched to Transmission
>>
>In this current case, the ransomware component was bundled with a legitimate program - a classic Trojan horse. Our advice: download needed/wanted software from the producer's website only or from trusted download portals. Where possible, do not download it from third-party-sites.
So basically if you use uTorrent official website you don't get it, you only get it if you're retarded enough to download programs from obscure third-party website. OP is retarded and uTorrent remains the best torrent client by far.

OP is retarted but rtorrent has been far better than utorrent for literally forever.

Utorrent 1.6.1 was the last good version of that client. It used to be the best windows torrent client back then.

These days, Deluge, Ktorrent, and Rtorrent all kick it's ass. Like they literally open up poor utorrents mouth and take a massive dump in it every time the applications are running.

Utorrent is literal shit now, and it's been fed shit for years by bittorrent inc.

I can't believe you stupid mother fuckers can literally use software with ads bundled in it.

No.

>>
>>54099541
How so?
>>
>>54099413
Or just use qBittorrent and not have to do any of that bullshit.

uTorrent is bloated garbage, there are way better alternatives now like qBittorrent and Deluge.
>>
>downloading malware
>not installing with apt/yum/pacman
>>
>>54099503
I prefer Deluge mostly because the UI looks better and slightly because I can use it in daemon mode and set it to start as a system service before login. Nothing really bad about qBit but nothing that makes it stand out either.
>>
>>54099574
qBit has a torret status called "Stalled" which appears for a couple of seconds when you first add a torrent to the client, or if the torrent has no seeders. People around here meme this out of proportion.

OK, well I have a seedbox running with rTorrent, but I'm looking for a Windows client for my PC, for when I don't want to add the torrent in my seedbox and simply download some files in the torrent, usually screenshots. I don't intend to seed at all with my local connection.

Deluge is known to download 'more aggressively' from peers, right?

It's a 2MB program. qBitstalledmemetorrent is a 16MB bloated piece of crap that half the time does not work at all. Go figure..

I use vuze+ (got it on sale for only $15 USD). Im okay with paying $15 if it means I can efficiently download a bunch of other stuff for free, effectively saving/earning me money in the long run.
>>
>>54099717
Both clients will cap your speeds if that's what you're asking. Deluge has fame for being more aggressive at seeding, so for your intended use that's not very relevant. Go with qBit, it's lighter and uses less resources.
>>
>>54099748
That sounds better deal than µTorrent Pro.
>>
>>54099764
I know you're joking but I have no problem paying for good software if it means I can download more for free.

I paid for rapidshare for years when it was out because it let me download tons of data.

That's just because it's not as popular as uTorrent. But they're practically the same, except for colors. I guess people don't like purple.

He doesn't need to tell himself anything since the law tells it.
