How good are those newer sparcs?

Oracle is filled with indians these days so I don't know what level of performance I should expect from them.

Not very good unless you have retarded high number of threads doing barely anything each.

What about high availability on storage options how good are those CPU's churning away data for both SMB NFS and SFTP at the same time for multiple clients?
I'm mostly interested in storage servers with a low power usage and we all know how many xeons and ram I have to stick inside a case for proper ZFS support.

I'm wondering if oracle is any good at their own inventions.

Put it this way, even in Oracle's top of the line database appliance they use x86 and Linux

Oracle Sun storage servers are very good and cheaper than EMC or IBM stuff of equivalent performance..

But then, most of the advantage comes from ZFS, and you could just buy cheaper storage servers using ZFS from Nexenta or build your own FreeBSD ZFS servers.

That is, unless you need global 24/7/365 support with 1 hour turnaround.

Nah I'm really considering going to get some oracle training on their servers , most of my customers use and need ZFS features and I have found that TrueNAS still hasn't ironed out all the kinks even with the highest end hardware I still get arrays crapping out every other month or so and I average about on 100 Mbit/s SFTP/SMB/NFS per client on a wired fiber channel network which isn't great.
