How come /g/ has never made their own linux flavor?
What programs would be compiled? What distro would it be an offshoot of?

It does/did have one.
It was called Lo/g/os, and it was based off Arch.
Actually, it's not really a distro desu and more of an installer for arch that makes it look nice.
