So I helped a friend move and offered to recycle his old towers. Haven't built a computer since 2004, decided to rummage through and see if there was anything worth keeping. In the end, I have a comp with:
-500GB HDD
-AMD Phenom II X3 710 2.6 GHz
-Geforce GTX 460
-5 GB RAM
I only have a Chromebook and smartphone, otherwise. Is this a decent rig for games? I'm waaay out of the loop on what games require these days.

Idk cpu but gpu is good enough to play modern games. It is commonly listed as minimal requirement gpu
you have 16 times as much hdd space as me, and 2.5 x the ram

Yeah it'll play modern stuff at low settings.
Better optimised games like Alien: Isolation would probably run pretty well too.
