Why do these pickup so much electrical interference for? I.e. Pops and crackles from turning on fans, lights and powerline networking adapters. The X230s I had, had no problems what so ever!

You can pick up a Boss ground loop isolator on Amazon for around $8. Uses RCA connectors and works good.

are your cables isolated from touching any other cables?
