I am currently building pic related

text editor (sublime text) and avrdude. anything else is pleb tier.

also, link? usb-spi sounds useful
>>
oh. and usbtinyisp
>>
nvm found it. usbtinyisp is basically the thing you're building but available for £1 on ebay :)

>£1
You can already get an STM32 board for that
>>
I use an arduino as a programmer and avrdude to upload the code.

yeah sure, but I just realized that I have everything lieing around to build that shit.
Used an arduino before, but was annoying to wire everything always.

progress.

look around on aliexpress, they have cheap small stm32 boards

they don't have some integrated programmer though (at least the one I got) but st-link clones are pretty cheap or you could a simple usb uart adapter like I did.
>>
>>53915140
You can also use a Pi, great for all the people here who have one uselessly lying around
>>
>>53915259
I didn't know you could use the Pi too, thanks for the info.
Yes I had the arduino lying around gathering dust so I put it in use for my avr project.

>>
>AVRs
deprecated by ARM Cortex-M0
also what
>>53915116
said, AVRs are not really cheaper nowadays
>>
>>53916454
They're really easy to use though.

Maybe true, however M0s give you way more performance/power
>>
>>53916580
For which project do you need so much power?

Any application using 32-bit data types
Also, isn't it nicer to have more performance at the same power level?
