I'm equally in need for more storage space and an additional monitor for a dual monitor setup.
But i only have only money atm for one thing what do you guys recommend is a better upgrade to invest in first ?

I was in the same situation recently and I went for the monitor. I think it's a much more significant quality of life improvement for your setup than more storage, I don't regret the decision. It might depend on what you need the storage specifically for, though? For me it's pretty much just for more pirated movies which I can hold off on.

Definitely get another monitor or just hook up your computer to a tv monitor, Ive got mine connected to a 7year old panasonic lcd.
The ability to code on one screen and test/debug on another is phenomenal, or watch tutorials on one and work on the other, or browse web on one and work on the other etc. Its invaluable, I would NEVER go back to a single monitor, I'm even weighing up whether its worth getting a 3 monitor but I think the benefits might be a lesser ROI.
I sorely wish that there's a way to connect my tablet to my laptop when at school so as to have a dual monitor set up albeit a little smaller.
And you could always just delete some sdtuff from your HD if you really are desperate.
