What is the future of technology in the workplace?

Am I the only one who dreams for a cyberpunk dystopia?
It's already replaced heavy duty work like making cars.
It's in the process of replacing cashiers with self checkout and will soon be replacing other menial jobs that can be automated like frycooking and more I'd suspect within the next 15 years.
AI is already working to replace people in fields like finance and accounting. I don't know if we'll ever have true AI, but once we do, there will be no more programmers.
Only jobs left will be things that require a specific human touch, like athletics (people pay to warch people compete) and a few things where people prefer a human touch while conscious because of the tools involved with the trade, like barbershops. Doctors will be automated long before barbers are because people get surgery while in a comatose state.
Everything else is gonna be gone.
