What's /g/'s opinion on this, has it become a valid alternative to other mainstream crypto messengers, despite the fact that you still lose the rights of your pictures?

It's also still closed-source and owned by Facebook, so I wouldn't trust it too much.
The effect of pushing the broader industry towards end-to-end that the company itself can't eavesdrop on is a very welcome thing, however.
