So, I have been trying to solve this issue for 5 months now. Registering in 3 different hardware / Android forums brought exactly NO replies.
>Using a Z2 until last summer
>Mostly as a MP3 player with heavy / daily use
>One day the audio jack brakes
>Searched for it, found a replacement tutorial vid
>Bought a new jack for my L50W
>It looks exactly like before, the audio cable is plugged in
>Still no audio and no headphones
HOW DO I FIX THIS SHIT? Please prove me you are worthy and not consumerist pigs that buy new. Give me hope...

Isn't there an iFixit tear down? Perhaps more than just audio jack is fucked for you?
Just buy an iPhone SE like everybody else.

No thanks. I want to buy a Fio DAC somewhen and downgrade to my oldphone fully. I need at least 128 GB audio storage.
Really /g/uys, there are hundreds of Android and phone threads on this board. This is a 2014 flagship phone can't anyone help me?
Factory reset
Buy replacement parts on Aliexpress

Try different roms to eliminate software issue. Does the speaker sound turn off when the headphones are plugged in? (Is it detecting them?) If it is possible dead HP amp, if not trace the pins used to detect headphone and look for possible issues there.

Also forgot to say, use the hidden menu, it may help trouble shoot
>>53899148
I did that.
>>53899549
No, it just plays everything loud.

Did it still not work?

The service menu does not help, I can just test everything. And everything works, except for the headphone.
>Nokia 5800 as musicplayer
>jack only outputs from one side and have to wiggle it to make it sound on both
>replace the jack with new part with iron and solder
>same shit still happens
just give up and buy an ipod video.

Why are there so many Apple shills here? No, I dont want Apple shit, I'm planning on buying a Fio mobile DAC within the next years. But its really expensive and now I need my Z2 back to work.
