All the common sense posts are spot on. There's no program you can install that can compensate for human stupidity. If you try to put a virus on your computer, you will have a virus on your computer whether you realized what you were doing or not.
For the stuff that tends to slip between the cracks, assuming you're using windows, MS Security Essentials (now known as defender) is perfectly fine, and takes up almost no resources. Anything more is a PITA and unnecessary unless you're a dumbass.
