I switched from using Safari when Apple tied updated version to OS X updates. I was stuck on 10.8.x for a while.
I don't think I've even opened up Safari on my latest Mac ever.

I like Safari because it does a lot of things better than other browsers but there are just too many annoyances, like no webm, 360° video or clipboard API support. Extensions are also lacking and some sites have these obscure bugs with Safari. It just feels like no one gives a shit about desktop Safari, and it doesn't help at all that you need OS X to test your website in Safari.
I'm using Chrome now which feels kind of gross but at least everything works.
just open them in mpv
add to config
[extension.webm]
loop-file=inf

Google "vlc web plugin safari" or something like that.
It's a plugin that will let you play webm-videos if you open them in separate tabs.

Move to Opera, it looks better than Safari

no it fucking doesn't

>webm
Everything should be using mp4 instead of that shit.
I use safari because I think this is the simplest browser which yet works. But yeah fuck the lack of extensions and webm support.
VLC Web plugin and open them in a new tab as >>53884613 mentioned.
Safari lacks features, but it's the best in terms of performance and the toolbar is tiny compared to this >>53884883. It even saves more space when there's only one tab open.
