That's funny because I used to share room with complete normalfag.
He had normal social live, was going out on parties every week or more, dating girls etc, while I was spending whole days playing games with online friends, watching anime and hugging dakimakura of my waifu.
Later on he admitted he used to think low of me and think "at least my life is not as pathetic as his" etc. But then he slowly begin to realize something.
Both he and his friends have never had any real hobbies, they always just follow what's popular and never really get deep enough to get as much fun as I get from watching anime.
His friends have never been as close with him as my own, things like pretending, lying, using others to get better social status happen on daily basis.

I never played games alone (not out of lack of trying, more important stuff always got in the way), I think it's a waste of time as do my friends. Only played FIFA over beers or stuff like that
I have no online friends or girlfriends of whatever you have. I spent time alone reading and studying. My hobbies are welding/machining, electronics and going to the gym.
My friends don't do any of that social jostling bullshit, they're easy going and loyal. Some are married now and I spoke at their weddings. Some are single, but most of us get together in with our girlfriends and have bbqs etc. We all know each other's families and hang out regularly, we even go travelling together.
I look down on people who play games in the same way I do people who wank to anime 24/7. Once In a while is OK, but I personally think you nerds who sit there day in day out are literally wasting your lives from my perspective.

It might be true 6 years ago, when we were in High/Middle Schools. But once we finished schools, started working and going to university we no longer have this much time to play games so we meet IRL. I still think that all the people that justify constant gaming are wrong though. Yes, doing what you love is worthwhile but combining that with something useful and aspirational is important too. Otherwise it is literally just a pastime. Doing something that'll echo through time or makes it possible to create things are part of a legacy.
