I think the best thing you can do for yourself is find something you like to do, and then surround yourself with people who actually care about you and make you feel safe and don't add stress or demands to your life. In my case, the steroids are used for their anti-inflammatory benefits. The doses are low enough so that there is no other effect than local reduction of inflammation.

Fluticasone propionate is a topical steroid that reduces sinus inflammation.

Hydrocortisone is a topical steroid that reduces skin inflammation, which is helpful for rashes, eczema, etc.

If you have insurance that covers whatever, get on Bicalutamide or lupron or something!

If you pay like the normal amount for spiro monthly that it costs online, or more than it. (~$20 usd a month for 200mg a day), just order Cypro on the internet instead as it's just $30 a month with 50mg a day. Or half that if you're fine with 25mg a day which is what I am on(T is at 13ng/dl). From what I see in the US, it's super easy to get your hands on whatever you'd like without issue, and getting it through the official route is way more expensive as you have to pay for appointments and for the pills themselves which is often priced the same as they are online anyways. I'm jelly.

Suboxone.

It's probably the one narcotic-related prescription I'd recommend if you're in a situation where you'd need something like it. Been keeping me clean and healthy for 9 years now and got me off of a 31 year oxy addiction.
I'm incredibly lucky to have founded very profitable businesses that were bought quickly, but it was luck over everything else. I'm sure I would have not recovered if I wasn't financially secure, and I doubt I would have been remained financially secure 'till old age if I didn't have suboxone.

If anybody in here is dealing with opiate addiction, do yourself a favor and either quit cold turkey or get yourself on suboxone.

Oh. Well if you do have insurance that covers whatever, your doctor is honestly stupid to give you spiro, it's shit. It's literally a heart medication that had the side effect of being a weak anti androgen. But it somehow became the standard testosterone blocker for MtF HRT in the US. But if insurance covers everything, see if you can upgrade to Lupron or something at least better than Spiro, just ask your doctor about it to see what they think about alternatives. But for most transgirls 200mg of spiro a day is fine without like affecting water retention too badly and other side effects.

Also speaking of HRT, estrogen pills isn't the best thing for feminization, if you're okay with injections, you totally want to get on estradiol valerate intramuscular injections. (Standard dose is 10mg/1ml, once weekly.)

By the way it's not hard to research HRT and dosages on your own, I know /lgbt/ is a cesspool, but the trans help general threads have some links in the OP that has information from doctors who deal with trans stuff meant for other doctors on treatment, HRT, what it does, dosage sizes, etc. A LOT of transgirls, especially from there, buy their skittles online and have no issues, it's all about being well educated on it.

I self med myself, know plenty others who also do it themselves. All the information you should want on dosages, where to get them, etc, is easily found there. Websites that give you the real thing are qhi.co.uk, inhousepharmacy.vu and alldaychemist.com .

Anti androgens: Cyproterone acetate (50mg a day) > Spironolactone (200mg a day)
Estrogens: Progynon depot 10mg/1ml once weekly > estrofem (4mg-8mg a day) > progynova (4mg-8mg a day)
Pills you take after you've eaten, try to make it as even as possible. (i.e. for Spiro, take 100mg in morning, 100mg in evening.)

Good luck Anon!

Im like you and I still have really bad days where I will just lay in bed all day without the energy to get up. There is a big stigma in my family about anti depressants, and since im NEET I cant just hide them.

I channel my energy into >>>/diy/ shit
From simple yard work, to house work, to working on my car, to building some shit out of 2x4s. I try to get my heart pumping.

As long as it distracts me from my own thoughts, its all good. I will somedays just drive to the hardware store and look at tools for a few hours.

For me, getting out of my room off of my computer does wonders. I dont even play video games or watch TV anymore, the anxiety creeps in when I am on my computer for too long. I just do light web browsing before bed.

I have more good days than I do bad.

I feel you man, used to love it but now the least bit leads to hours of negative thoughts, I'm better at regulating them now but it still leads me to only alone when hammered or the occasional maybe I'll try it again thing, it's a shame because I think beautifully on the stuff and it amplifies my desire to learn

Get into running, trail-running if you're in an area with nice mountains and trails. It's amazing what it can do for your anxiety.
After breaking up with an ex when I was younger, I isolated for 6 years. I didn't have sex, didn't have friends (stopped talking to my old friends during the 4 year relationship), and really didn't leave my house for anything other than work/school. I couldn't even look people in the eye when I was talking to them. I'm not sure what triggered this massive anxiety, but it was horrible.
I was able to start really pushing myself after the first week of running. Within a month I had genuine happiness, had much more focus, and was able to socialize with a sense of confidence and virtually no anxiety. It's amazing what that short amount of exercise did for me.
In our line of work, it's easy to get stuck indoors all day. Hell, when I wasn't working I genuinely left home maybe once a week and showered maybe once a week, usually twice a month at worst. I probably said fewer than 500 words per month for maybe 2 or so years. I'm not exaggerating either, I just didn't have any friends and didn't leave the house, so I didn't have anybody to talk to. So I've been exactly where you seem to be.
I'm telling you, that short amount of exercise will help more than significantly. I know it's hard to get yourself to commit, but it will help, you'll feel a difference. Antidepressants aren't going to really help you. I guarantee that pushing yourself on the trail will. It keeps your mind active, even help your reflexes and mental acuity. Give it a shot, if you don't feel yourself starting to lose the anxiety, you'll know that you were at least being healthy for a week.

Changing my diet didn't help, lifting weights sort of helped, but running did it for me. I have a 32 mile run that I do on my Tuesday/Thursday mornings now, and I look forward to getting up early so I can go running.

not the anon you are talking to, but i am going through a low period right now. barely go out now since i scrounged up enough to take a couple classes at school and get closer to that degree.

i used to bike a whole lot, and would go out just for that, but kinda took a dive after a few years of school, and now i've gained pounds and my bike has been picking up dust.

don't think i'm particularly depressed, but do have the same lack of motivation. will try to get on the saddle again, but it's so easy to do nothing but just get on the computer and get the dopamine high this way.

Doesn't work that ways.
Also, it isn't /g/ related, it's internet related. Ask this question in public, and you won't get answers. Ask this on 4chan and you'll get plenty of answers because people don't keep it a secret here.

I used to use fluticasone, but it can potentially mess up your brain long term (ie HPA axis) with regularly producing and managing it's own hormone levels. When I stopped using fluticasone my allergies were worse than ever but it slowly for better.

> tfw I use to love run.
I use to run around 50 miles a week in high school. My knees blew out and now I find it hard to make it 20 minutes. It's been 3 years since I've really ran and I think that is what has gotten me so down over the years. When I do go out once every 6 months or so to see if my knees have gotten better it's the best thing in the world. Then the pain comes back right on schedule and I have to walk/limp back home where I become disabled for the next few day.
Every time I find something that I like I get slapped back down. It really sucks
>>
>>53871882

It sounds corny, but it really is nice to hear that. My dad has one of our intraocular lenses in one eye and is getting surgery scheduled to do the other one.
>>

Not sure what to tell you man, because I dropped my whole group of friends because of it.
I suffered through the bad feelings for a while, then one day got hit with some really strong stuff that I ended up going to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack.
From that point I had probably a whole year of general anxiety and random attacks in my everyday life, I dropped all communication with those friends.

Luckily I had moved in 9th grade, so my whole high school was with that friend group that I dropped. I reunited with my childhood friends who I hadnt talked to in a long time and they didnt seem to care I alienated them for 5 years.

Get a bike.
I blew out my meniscus. I stupidly let it go for probably a year before I got it looked at, to where I could barely walk. After the surgery I had to do physical therapy to strengthen up the muscles that had atrophied.

There were stretches and whatnot, but riding a bike was the big one. A properly fitted bike wont hurt your knee

The worst I had was turning into a mega aspie and having the worst social anxiety when I smoked too much and got flung into what was already an uncomfortable social situation. That being said I stopped smoking a while ago since the anxiety starting being a more regular occurrence.

When you remove testosterone and replace it with estrogen, you basically stop your body from becoming any manlier and start going though female puberty, stuff like body hair reduces very significantly, you grow tits, get soft skin, your fat distribution changes to a female one, etc.

Realize now that in 90% of cases depression/anxiety is a transitory problem despite the medical establishment's desire to convince people that it's some kind of permanent illness. In most cases it can be cured completely by change in environment and lifestyle.

>>53872110
I do have a bike and I did try riding it every day but I didn't get that same feeling.

Sure is /g/ in here. I used to take small doses of Propranolol due to high blood pressure and elevated heartrate. Even went to a cardiologist which found nothing wrong with me. Tecfidera as an immune system modifier/dampener for my autoimmune condition. I've got RRMS.

Baclofen for my muscle spasticity and tightness. Makes my days comfortable.

Klonopin because I have general anxiety from my various symptoms of neuropathic pain and general anxiety. It also couples with the Baclofen nicely, sort of reduces weird nerve problems and spasticity.

Vyvanse because I grew up on stimulants for ADD and I don't know how to live without them now.

Zantac for stomach acid and recurring gastritis problems.

Weed every now and then for breakthrough unmanageable muscle spasms.

If you are predisposed possibly. It's hard to say for certain if it is actually a cause or merely pushes you in the direction you were inevitably going to go. A hard night of drinking, a bad breakup, a death in the family, a loss of a job, so many things can perpetuate a psychotic break and unveil latent schizophrenia. None of these things 'cause' it. The underlying condition only manifested when those things happened.

For those of you with intractable depression, jumping from SSRI to SSRI, mood stabilizers, antipsychotics and the like, if you are to the point you want to end it all already, do a small bit of LSD or Shrooms in a nice safe setting with someone you trust and see what happens. You might be astounded and changed forever. You may not, but it changed my life.
