how about windows 10 thinking it knows best when it replaces my actual working drivers with generic drivers from its shit servers because it thinks it knows best and forces my wifi to die permanently and shut me off the network until i either reinstall windows or happen to have the driver on a usb by godly luck

My sound randomly cuts out and refuses to resume until I restart.
Updated all drivers and it didn't help.
>>53865586
Can I reproduce it using a test case on my system? No? GTFO
>>53865605
That's probably not the only kind of reproduction you'll never get around to doing
>>53865620
I hope so. Abortions are too expensive.

did it to me last night, luckily im less retarded than my os and figured it out
Come on guiez... just post 1 test case that we can all use to produce in a bug in Windows 10. It should be easy for you experts!!
>>53865690

When I restart it, the time is switched to year 25xx. Doesn't happen with the Lolbuntu dual boot, so it's not a hardware fault. Time settings are auto. Can reproduce it with almost every restart.
What now?

>>53865405
On my laptop it replaced my touchpad drivers despite having driver updates disabled. Now I cannot disable the touchpad, making typing annoying.
My start menu options disappear every once and a while. The only link that shows up is Apps which I have to click on and then reclick back to the start menu to get the rest to show.
When I plug my speakers into the audio jack sound still defaults to the laptop speakers so I have to manually disable them.
1: Open start menu.
2: Right-click any traditional (EXE) application in the left "most used" sidebar.
3: Under 'more', select "Open file location".
4: Explorer will spawn, along with a RuntimeBroker.exe error.

>>53865550
Okay I like Windows 10 but I will back this. For a good 2 months I couldn't open the start menu or cortana and ended up running all my programs from Win+R. Updated one day and the glitch was gone.

>I turn off telemetry

>are they aware of the issue?
Apparently.
When the computer is on and the screen turns back after a while (or if you shut the monitor), sometimes next time you switch on the monitor color profiles are fucked, as it doesn't reapply your color profile.
Same with some games who have their own profiles, sometimes when you close the game the profile isn't going back to default windows one.

This too, netword is unreliable as fuck on windows 10, be it ethernet or wifi. This is unacceptable.
>>53865405
The OS itself is a cockroach.

>>53866121

A for effort, though.
>>53865423
Too bad they fixed that long ago
From my experience the most buggy thing in Windows tends to be the fucking finicky windows update. (it completely broke for no discernible reason when I was dual booting)
The most buggy thing I encountered in Linux is definitely anything related to video drivers. Trying to install nvidia drivers was a fucking nightmare.
>>53866935
Recently installed win 10 on a refurb thinkcentre. Was expecting driver hell, instead it installed every driver properly w/o any input on my part. It pays to buy hardware from OEMs that give a shit, I guess.
>>53866473
Can confirm, have to reapply monitor colour profiles after the screen goes off due to inactivity.
>Name one bug in Windows 10.
Windows 10.
>>53865405
My display driver fucks up when I use my HDMI cable. Took me two installs before I gave up and switched to vga.
After the monitor goes off due to inactivity, the taskbar resets to being on the primary monitor.
>Thread 2 hours old
>Only super squirrelly errors or intended features mentioned so far.
come on /g/... you are better than this
When doing an upgrade from other versions of Windows to 10, your screen may start to flicker and/or cycle between on and standby. A reboot fixes it, and it usually only happens right after the upgrade. AFAIK, it doesn't happen when doing a fresh install.
That's about the closest to an actual bug that I've seen. Everything else I have to complain about is just plain terrible features.
>>53867317
when you have to advertise your product with an icon saying "This Product Works!", something is wrong. that should be assumed.
the same goes for the Win10 shilling

Desktop icons and windows being moved out of position when one DisplayPort and one HDMI monitor are connected as mirrors of each other and a program enters exclusive fullscreen mode. When returning to the desktop, all icons will be lined up in the top left, rather than where they were placed before.
>>53867317
the things mentioned in this thread windows shills have called "intended feature" are fucking ridiculous, mate
if this was my product i would be ashamed
my fucking windows KEY doesnt work, and clicking the tile on the taskbar dont do shit either
theres one for you, OP
also, whenever i switch users back and forth, there's just a black screen with nothing
i have to force restart every time someone else uses the only desktop in the house
the taskbar flickers from time to time.
otherwise it's fine.
>>53865405
install gentoo
MODS please
>>53865405
It won't open Control Panel applets from the Start menu search. I search for one, it finds it just fine but it cannot be opened. Hitting Enter or clicking it simply does nothing, it's as if input is not registered anymore. Opening them through actual Control Panel is fine, so the applets themselves aren't fucked up.
>>53865405
Plugged in my mouse while my pc was restarting, it corrupted 2 drivers and I had to reset my SSD, thx microsoft.
>>53865405
Move taskbar to the left side of the screen. Lock it. Win-X and Run. A lot of times the Run window will not launch.

Not really a bug, but the day I updated to Windows 10, I used Cortana to search my name and a shit ton of porno was the result. That was also the day I went back to windows 7, the porn star was not hot.
>>53865405
- you can't search for .exe's in the start menu even with full indexing unless those exe's are already in the applications folder
- turning off UAC completely disables all UWP functionality
- Cortana service runs, even when Cortana is disabled
- File associations reset after each "upgrade"
- Deferred upgrades install by themselves if you miss the prompt, wiping out anything you were working on.
- UWP apps don't honor the hosts file
- Edge cannot be firewalled directly and also doesn't honor the hosts file
- Hardware drivers can be overwritten during upgrades, causing breaking issues or soft bricks
- Anti-malware service causes constant 100% disk usage in some cases
- Upgrading from W10 to W7 still leaves a broken grub menu entry and bootloader.
- Firewalling explorer causes it to break completely, despite that fact that it shouldn't actually need to connect to the internet
- The unfocused scroll feature causes breaking issues and display artifacts in M$'s own software (VS, SSMS)
>inb4 these are features
go home prajeet, you can do better
>>53865405
This is more of a nvidia error, but my drivers keep crashing on win10. Did clean installs, rollback to older versions and nothing
