What is a must have/no go for you when looking for a TV set?
All I know is that I want ta big one. 60+ inch screen. But what about everything else?

Samsung/LG. Whichever has the specs you want for cheaper. Take a look at different display technologies eg. LED, OLED, Quantum Dot. I'd say the best value right now that'll get you a good picture would be a 1080p IPS LED, but you might want to just bite the bullet and go 4K with a 60+ inch TV

Get something with a good panel LG and Philips know their shit,fuck samsung you are paying for their marketing.I have LG with Alpha IPS and the picture is outstanding.
As of right now anything over 1080p is stupid there is still no content for 4K
