Unlike android it still gets updates despite being a phone from 2013. And its still fast as fuck. A7 is a great SoC it will probably still be running iOS smoothly 3 years from now so don't worry.

As a windows phone fanboy I must point out that at least android devices get faster or don't slow down with new updates, unlike iPhones which get slower so reliably that it's becoming very, very suspicious.

You're saying that iOS slows down but mine didn't, how come? This used to happen when phone still had shit hardware like the iPhone 4. After iPhone 5 all phones come with good enough SoC to run iOS perfectly updated. iOS8 was poorly optimized for the 4s but now that it received iOS9 is running a lot smoother even though its a phone from 2011.

It's going to be significantly faster (more so if you go for an Exynos version, but no documentation means little to no custom roms) as well as receive updates to Android O and probably P. It's up to you whether that's worth 300 or 400 dollarinos.

Then why are you blaming Android, especially when Google is the one that maintains it and releases the souce code months before a major release. If anything, blame the manufacturera for not updating their phones.
