Okay, I tried it out anyhow. No A(I)DS in the free version so far.
One small gripe I have, though. This is the only player I've tried that distinguishes between album art and artist art. Album art shows up fine, but when viewing by artist, it's just a bunch of "blank" images of a head silhouettes. I have no intention of going through all my music and adding artist images as well.

Sony Music itself doesn't have audio tuning, it's done by Sony's separate equalizer and XLOUD. Just install Music on CM with Xperia framework and you'll see.

I don't use earbuds, I occasionally use the speakers themselves (at home).
It's louder than stock (although not as loud as stock with xLoud enabled) The audio also starts getting distorted at about 6/8ths of the volume slider.
