No, but there's always the possibility that somebody would've considered it a viable method. Besides, neurological implants are an inevitability in the future.
I believe inputting commands would've been handled by monitoring neurological activity and then either relaying the signal wirelessly (I can barely imagine how many hoops you'd have to go through to actually make this) or it'd be some kind of an RF tag type solution, making it not remote access.
