I've been stuck with a Phenom 1055T for years. It's still good enough but I do want to upgrade and don't want to go with Intel.

Well looking at Intel's chips where they half of the chip area for the GPU, I'd rather have moar cores than a GPU there. That is without going for extremely high end CPUs.

The high end chip will basically be a 5960X at a mainstream i7 price point. Whether you think that's worth waiting for or not is up to you.

I recently overclocked it to 3.5 GHz after using it at regular clock. At stock it was JUST at the edge of being able to emulate Wii, now it's enough.
