The company behind it, Eyeo, accepts payments from ad companies (Google, among others) to let ads through. They have a financial incentive to not do what they promised you. They let you turn it off and block everything, but its enabled by default.
Also it has a reputation for being slower and using more memory than UBO
alright, I've installed uBlock and I still have pornads on pornhub. I can't even block them manually. as I said, it can't be malware because same thing happens on my other pc, which I rarely use, unless malware can magically spread through the air or some shit. I should mention these are those "regional" porn ads, meaning they are in my native language and all of that shit. what gives?

There can be a number of reasons why you're getting ads
1. You have malware that's browser-level
2. Your ISP, DNS, or Proxy may be hijacking the pages you're visiting and injecting HTML/JS, changing requests
3. You've went in to incognito mode and don't have adblocker on
