So...what are some good PC chairs?
>>

I am (according to some medical related sources) considered obese, despite being only 205 lbs and 6ft tall.

Additionally, I have that same chair and it has given years of good service. The only thing wrong with it is some of the upholstery is wearing on the armrests.

You're a fat fucker, that's all you have to say.

>>53819019
Grabbed a decent leather chair at a thrift store for 10 bucks, I'm super happy with it. Maybe doesn't look as sleek as a gaymer chair, but it gets the job done.

My old chair was a soldier, lasted me 5 years before it snapped.

I used to like sitting on it backwards; knees on the seat, chest on the back rest and chin on top of the head rest, comfy as fuck but it took it's toll.

All cheap office chairs are shitty plastic and plywood wrapped in sponge.
It's a shame the chair tiers go [shit]->[retarded car chair]->[$1000+ mesh chair], I'd love a high end office chair that I wouldn't have to sell a kidney to afford.

>>53819270
You don't need to worry about that. The piston shaft in office chairs points downwards. If it exploded(doubtful) and busted through the surrounding material(even more doubtful) it would hit the floor, not your ass.

I know because I took the old piston apart after replacing it because it wouldn't hold air

>>53819019
One day the chair meme will die.

Trust me /g/.

And how it will die will be when hologram monitors plus keyboards get invented which would free ourselves from the desk as the hologram monitor and keyboard would be able to follow your view wherever you are in your house or office so you would be freed from having to stay at a desk so that means that people would stop buying these office chairs and would get their work done on a nice big sofa or couch, instead.

The bed works fine too in such a scenario where a hologram monitor plus keyboard is involved.

I bought what appears to be the same chair from amazon two black fridays ago since it looks somewhat comfy. It hurt my back and has no support at all.

Bought an Embody and now that one sits in my garage. I sort of regret how much I pay, and it isn't exactly plush, but my ass and back don't hurt after long sitting sessions and it has a long ass warranty so hopefully it was worth it.

How well does the leap last for cushioning and through the day? I've heard the more recent builds have cushions that flatten and hurt your ass after long sitting sessions, whereas the embody has the plastic spring matrix so that doesn't happen, but it isn't every really soft and is always firm.

I was torn between the two, but the embody looks nicer and seemed like it would be more support and breathable in the long run and make for a better day to day chair.

Seconding the Leap, just got mine a few days ago. Got it from this site. Free shipping, but fuck FedEx. http://www.madisonseating.com/leap-chair-by-steelcase.html

Not him, but I've had my Leap for over 4 years and am a fat fuck - never had an issue with the seat cushion "going flat" or anything.

However, that said, if you can afford the extra cost for the Embody, just go with the Embody. The Embody is one of the objectively best office chairs you can buy.

Already have the embody and even with the fancier fabric. I like it quite a bit, but I still feel like I don't have it adjusted quite right, but that may also just be my bad sitting habits. I tend to slouch in my chair and sit with my legs crossed.

I also have a dxracer, and really, it's comfy for kicking your legs up. It looks god awful, I won't deny, but its comfy, and comfy don't care about no looks.

I bought the /g/ meme that it was a comfy chair, and while you can use that at a workplace, it is NOT comfy

It's gotta be at least 100* F in that room.

I have it since exactly one year (march/2015)
No major complain or heat problem, and unlike the new ones, it have drivers for 7/8.1/10
I run Linux on it, but wireless didn't work even with last kernel, so I use Linux on my convertible laptop only.

OP here
>tfw I just bought another one

Office Depot has a really shit selection of chairs. Also, the last chair lasted 8 or 9 years, so if this one works just as long it was worth the $130

My chair doesn't stay up now. Didn't think it's because I'm too fat.

How much does something like this even cost? I'm buying a house and planning to put my desk in its own room so this would be possible. Considering I already spent 1200 on an embody though buying something else would suck pretty bad.

Ya that seems a bit excessive. I could probably do 2k, maybe 3, but 5k+ after addons that is awfully much. Compared to the embody it would probably be worse for my back and what not too.
>>
>>53819019
I have a chair that looks very similar but is made of steel instead of plastic.
Have you considered not purchasing a shitty chair?

Shit, I have that chair. Am I skating thin ice? Will chair be kill soon?

Nah I'm okay, I'm not a landwhale.

At that price point it's the best chair you can buy.

I do this sometimes. It gets incredibly uncomfortable after like an hour. Need some proper back support
