My friend gave me an old Microsoft TrackBall Optical about a year ago and I didn't start really using it until a few months ago and now it's showing signs of death.
I thought trackballs were a joke at first but now I don't think I can go back to a mouse for my workstation. The trackball has been better than any mouse I've used in almost every way.
So anyway, looking for trackball recommendations. Should I consider a finger trackball over a thumb one? Never tried one but I like the look of them.

I'm using Cst laser Trac. A little pricey, but I haven't felt the urge to dust off my mouse I'm a couple of months now.

I have the Logitech M570 and I love it. I use it on my bed with my laptop.

Steer clear of thumb trackballs.
They are the worst thing to happen to trackballs.
Preferably find an asymmetrical trackball, those stupid symmetrical ones are for faggots.
Equally steer fucking clear of wireless trash.
