Which node case is that? an 804 i can't remember still gotta take a new picture but until then her is an older one.
>>
>>53818223
not yet. been pretty happy with its boost. boosts to 1,425mhz all on its own and comes factory overclock with the memory at 7,200mhz instead of 7,000.
>>
>>53818302
its the node 804! love the case. easy to build with an a ton of room.

is that the air 240? i was thinking of going with it since it was cheaper until i found out it can't fit a nh-d15s, let alone 212 evo.

>>53818359
yeah i have an air 240 i quite like it alot my first really good matx build. I can't decide if i want to stay with the 240 or the get the phanteks matx case. I was lucky and was able to pick up the enermax clc for 75 dollars.

Dumb question but when you set your led to the rainbow one, is there a gradient between colours? Mine doesn't do it and it's driving me insane

That's odd. My xtreme cycles through colors by default. I don't have any of the gigabyte software installed.

Yeah the air series are nice. I had the 540 before my node 804. I looked at the phanteks m-atx cases but I really like cube style. Nice having everything separated into two layers.

Hey, i'm looking to upgrade my guts.

My PSU has become loud, and it's out of warranty. I tried stopping all fans except the PSU and unplugging all my drives and it's about 42dB loud which is too much for me in my tiny room. So i'm looking for a replacement. Whats good these days? I don't want to spend much more than 100$ and you can see in my speccy that I probarbly don't need more than 500W (?).

Also planning to remove my smaller drives and removing the top cage, any other ideas?
>>
>>53823367
Why dont you replace just a PSU fan instead? Try it before spending 100$.
>>
>>53823389
I looked into it and it seemed quite complicated, my PSU is also a cheapo 4 year old PSU that's only bronze so I might aswell replace it, or?

Here's a generic protip some of you could use:

If you take a screwdriver and coil your fan wires around it tightly, they will keep that shape and not flop all over
>>
>>53823367
the EVGA G1 and GQ lines are 80+ gold, fully modular and cheap. very quiet too
>>
>>53823455

>>
>>53823411
Well then, do as you please.
>>53823455

>>
>>53819721
yeah its gradient. it goes from yellow to slowly a orange to slowly a red, extra.
>>
>>53820633
nope i couldn't lol.

>>53822298
didn't like the poo color and plus the stock noctua fan is shit. could barely feel any pressure. so i slapped two cooler master silencio 2400's on them. maxes out at 2400rpm. just as quiet as the noctua (1500rpm both are identical in noise, 2400 just barely louder) but produces a lot more static pressure.

Nobody r8d mine last time i posted it (sadface). Anywho someone suggest me a cpu cooler? Thinking about a h110i or a dark rock 3 pro but again, i'm open to suggestions. Also anyone know where i could get custom cables for a cm v750 psu?
>>
>>53828577
sorry anon, I must have missed it. I try to rate everyone atleast once. You'll need to get braided extensions for that PSU. I don't think you really need a new PSU cooler, the Hyper 212 is perfectly fine unless you're going for extreme overclocking. The Dark Rock 3 and h110i are good choices, a lot of people recommend the DH-D15
>>
>>53828577
7/10
>>
>>53828577
H100 is enough. But I would use the Dark Rock, if I hadn't bought the H100.

The only good thing on the AIO is the better look. But the DarkRock looks decent too, compared to other CPU coolers.

Thanks for the input guys. by the way, where can i get some sound dampening foam (preferrably within EU)? is it a good idea in the first place?
>>
>>53828855
Hi, >>53828742 here. It depends on your components. If you're running a loud fan and loud HDDs, it's not gonna help you out. But if you have quiet fans already on a good temp curve, it'll silence their already-low noise level. I dunno what case fans you have in there, but if they're loud, I'd first replace them with some Corsair quiet editions or Noctuas.
>>
>>53828855
>>53828889
oh and I use this stuff by Silverstone, one package was sufficient to cover everything.
http://www.amazon.com/SilverStone-21-Inch-Dampening-Acoustic-SF01/dp/B0040JHMH6
>>
>>53828889
>>53828908
Alright, thanks man. Fans are the stock cooler master 140mms the case came with, afaik they're loud only because i had to hook them up with molex adapters.
>>
>>53828978
I have some AF120 quiet editions hooked up to a 7v molex to 3pin. They're dead silent, cheap as shit (I got LED ones for £5 each on sale, normally 7-8) and transport shit-tonnes of air. If I flick it up to 12v they're audiable but reduce temps by over 10'c on my GPU
>>
>>53828978
Oh yeah, that'll do it. I use http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-AF140-Quiet-Single-CO-9050009-WW/dp/B007RESGGC/ but other quiet fans with good ratings will work well for you too. The H110i will come with two loud as fuck fans that you'll want to replace ASAP, as well. Remember to get airflow fans for your case intake/exhaust but static pressure fans for your radiator fans if you do get the H110i.

My mother insisting on wating a laptop, so I decided to get a thinkpad x220 for 230 $ which suited perfectly her needs ( 90% browser use for email, online shop administration, pictures handeling/uploading ).

But then I just realized this, since she doesn't care about portability and the laptop was going to forever sit in the same place - would it be better If I build a small computer and pair it with a second hand cheap screen?

It might be the better solution over all, but my problem start here, since needs are minimal and she wanted something small - I wonder what types of small PC cases are there? Can you people that use or know of them enlighten me? Give me some names, some types or would a Mini PC be better? It would be obviously more expensive and more hassle so I don't really see how that would be viable.

I know this isn't exactly what you asked but in this day and age, Tablets are typically the way to go when buying technology for the less tech-savvy people.
>>
>>53835656
Why would you do that? Get a 970 or 80, same performance, no SLI problems.

I want to be you. Also get some guides to keep them cables lined up all nice and neat.

Yes but my mother thinks she won't do her job fine with a tablet, she has to administrate an online shop so - I'd go with what she says is good for her work style.
>>
>>53835656
If you go search up a specific hardware combo online and you get a bunch of videos by Mexicans, you know you got some stupid cheap shit. Just search SLI 950

Good evening senpai. How do I decrease my PCs temps? I have an aftermarket CPU cooler (Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO) and have all the normal fans that came with the case. What are my options? Add more fans? I live in area where the outside temperture is about 30-32 degrees celcius with bout 75% huimidity if that means anything

get a better case or a AIO cooler.

air cool wise there's not much you can do to unfuck your temperatures if the case has shit air flow. just look at the ncase meme 1.

I just upgraded from a 6300 to a 6600k and MSI Gaming m5 motherboard. I'm getting an H440 and some sleeved cables next weekend.

it can't hurt. did you at least install more/better fans? the case comes with two shitty 120mm fans. SSF cases come with that many fans.

Stock cooler because its cold here all year, there is no need for additional cooling, also non K CPU because it simply isnt necessary, it currently boosts to 4.1GHz on all cores and i cant really see myself needing anything faster than that.

Did anyone else quite enjoy the April Fool's theme?

consistently styled, well built and organized but i cant imagine it runs particularly cool with that GPU and all those hdds. 8.5/10

>>53838298

blue on black seems to work well in your case, i do wonder how you go about connecting usb peripherals without having to use the back panel. 8/10

>>53838987
Going for quiet fans and a quiet PSU but then adding one of the louder 3rd party GPU cooling solutions seems an odd pair. 7/10

It's the maximum the Mobo Supports. The sticks are 1600 themselves, because all the 1333 sticks were awful.
