Does a VPN protect you from getting caught? Or do they know I'm the same person and are watching me?

Caught? What the fuck are you doing watching infantile pornography?

no I mean tracked by the website users, mods, etc...is VPN enough to ddisguise you
>>
A VPN can expose you in a few ways:
1. It keeps logs
2. DNS issues where it uses your normal IP for your ISP's or self set DNS server connections. Many VPNs have the option to prevent this.
3. You're logged into a service like Facebook or some such while doing illegal shit on the VPN.
4. Your VPN connection drops, and momentarily you are using your normal IP. Many VPNs offer a killswitch for when it detects this happening.

Basically the answer is yes unless you set yourself up to fail.

Just means your shit bounces off a server somewhere.

Just another computer somewhere else.

Basically the idea is multiple vpn/proxies that preferably know nothing about you. They clear the info now and then so the idea is that by the time they track you through 6 proxies or so one of them no longer has a record of the ip you came from.

However this is half shot cause the five eyes countries are sucking up everything they can.

By this I mean they might have a record they grabbed just cause when you went between home and the first proxy or the first and second proxies.

Nothing is really guaranteed to be safe. Overall you are ok depends on the how bad do they want to track you / how hard is it to track you ratio.

Use a logless service for a VPN and opendns servers and make sure if the VPN drops your network is down outside of the VPN

A single VPN connection is enough if they don't keep logs usually. If you're paranoid go VPN->tor and you're basically completely untraceable.

For anyone that isnt really a pedo or doing some hacking shit.

They stupid fuck who got in palins email had a single proxy.

This is why he was caught. Had he used a VPN he would not have been caught.

Proxies are for shitposting and harassing people. VPN is for more dangerous shit. VPN->tor will make you safe for almost everything; this includes minor cp viewing/distribution.

If you're running a real CP ring then you should be intranet only.
