Upgrading from an iPhone 4S.
Help me decide /g/. I like the nexus because of its webm support(for 4chan) and because I prefer stock android to having to jailbreak on iOS to get all the good stuff (next jailbreak release fucken when).
I do, however also like the iPhone SE because of its compact size and relatively higher build quality(camera and cpu and shit).
Help me rid of my indecision, /g/ents.

Nexus 5X has a quad-core A53 module running at a meager 1.44 GHz and a dual-core A57 module running at a meager 1.87 GHz. Meanwhile the zenfone 2 has a quad-core moorefield SoC running at 2.3 GHz. The zenfone 2 is literally faster and has twice the RAM.
Yeah it has bloat but so does the nexus 5x in which both can be removed.

The iphone 6s+ already has overheating problems (I'm sure you're familiar) and so putting an A9 housefire in a 4" phone is bound to cause even more overheating problems. Also sony cameras are clearly superior to the camera on the iPhone 6+ not only in resolution but in color quality and clarity as well.

Iphone SE is $400 for 16GB base model, Z3 Compact is $300 for 16GB base model, and Zenfone 2 is $300 for 64GB model.
All of the phones mentioned after the SE have a microsd slot btw and a 128GB UHS-I (20MB+ write/ 40MB+ read) microsd card is like $30 on amazon.

Those speeds offer 0 benefit in real life over an UHS-I microsd card. You can still transfer an entire 2GB 720p movie in about 1 minute at those speeds.
Also I used to think like you (ex-iphone 6 user). But my music library started to grow and I tried to cram 1 or 2 movies on my 16GB iPhone and it finally led me to get an S5 + 128GB microsd, been happy ever since.
Also the 64GB version of the iPhone SE is $500 which is the stupidest financial investment one could ever make.

Not only would transfering the same movie be much, much faster, making it barely noticeable but the biggest difference comes in normal use, opening apps, browsing through pictures and music, etc, etc. Every Android got slow as NAND speeds, which is the main cause for lag.

But there is also a perfect balance of 64GB, you won't be able to take your entire library with you but still more than enough in most scenarios. Besides, if you want to watch movie on the phone, SE is obviously one of the worst phones for that because of screen size.

Except Android has features out of the box that iFails have to jailbreak to get, such as ui customizing and file manager. Even a jailbreaked iOS device is no where near as "open" as a rooted Android is.

I work in a hospital on the end that's surrounded by MRI X-ray and CT. The whole end of the building is encased in concrete and lead. I can't walk outside every time I want to send a text to the 2 people I know with androids. So instead we just use Discord. I mean, i love my Nexus 5 enough to keep it as a mini internet browser after upgrading to an S6 and now an S7e. I just can't bring myself to get rid of it.
I've heard more good than bad about the 5X, and not much about the 6p. Many of the reviews seem to like them a lot.
The SE, though, is a lot of phone for that small price. That small price, though, makes me think Apple has little confidence in it. They also kept 3d touch but without the hardware so that makes it like... Long press? Just like Android.
