Nothing really interesting, sadly.

there's no situation where you want that running your workstation
if you're working with a lot of vms locally you're an idiot put that shit on a server and work with a real computer
anything that can be done in parallel should be done somewhere else, not local
if you have money for a $12000 home workstation you wouldn't want it, you'd use a mac pro and have a rack somewhere
or are a rich sperg like the kid who got a grant to make a website or some shit and spent like $25000 on a desktop so he could 'realise his vision' or some shit lol
>>53800813
how the hell are they cramming 22 dies on one chip?
>/g/ doesnt look at the date
>>53801568
you'd be surprised at how small you can make shit
>>53801568
By making chip huge
For reference, 4 Skylake cores with L2/L3, memory controller and other uncore stuff can fit in around 70mm^2 on 14nm
>>53801568
BIG.little tech, maybe?
>>53801568
that's not 22 dies, there's 22 cores in one die. if intel didn't have the money for these huge 'record breaker' chips they would probably put multiple dies on an interconnect like AMD does.
>>53801724
*22 kills

>what is directx 12
DX12 likes more cores.
>>53802270
Not much more than 6, anything after that is engine dependent.
