Yeah but it's never worth it. I switched from project fi and joined boost. Got an S5 and the unlimited lte plan for 55$ a month. Regularly use 100gb+ of data each month. Project fi would have charged me like over $9,000 a month for the data I use.
You can even go with the 30$ a month plan if the unlimited lte plan is too expensive for you which will give you 5GB of high speed data over time + unlimited call/text.

I use AT&T and have unlimited, unthrottled data with tethering for $60/mo, and haven't found a location where I don't have coverage. If you really want to talk about carriers, I'd suggest AT&T or T-mobile.
The point is that it's an unlocked 5x for 230 bucks without signing a contract.
Since this guy broke his phone, I'm assuming he didn't have an upgrade available, so for far less than he wants to spend he can get a decent phone.
He could get the 5x and then get Boost as well, but I'm guessing he already has a carrier.

Still, not sure I'd choose one of those <200 phones from Boost. I'd rather get that ZenFone that >>53794958 mentioned. Looks like they have one for 200. Looks like it's not the best for that version, but it's got SD support.
If the Oneplus X supported LTE in the US I'd go for that, but the lack of software support and lack of LTE make it a no go.

Probably the best plan I've ever owned. Still have an S3 from Sprint and couldn't find a signal to save my life. Never had a call dropped with AT&T, haven't been charged for tethering, unlimited and unthrottled data, and 4g pretty much everywhere I go for just under $60/mo. Their current plans might be shit, but I wouldn't sell my grandfathered plan for a fortune.
Travelled from Cali to Russia to Ireland to NY to Cali and can't remember a moment without coverage. With Sprint, I had to go to a corner in my room to get a signal.
