What cheap Chinese tech have you bought, and would you recommend it?

Yes, we know everything is already from China but in here we discuss the no/low-name cheap shit you see on eBay, AliExpress and similar sites.

I did the mochi, pork floss, some weird beans and other shit
and there was a guy yesterday who reviewed some things too

I have gotten some Japanese, Korean and Chinese noodles from a local asian store, but it wasn't interesting enough to review.
If I go and get some more, I might review them but I dunno

The bean things which were disgusting and I couldn't even keep in my mouth for 5 seconds
I think it's seasoned for a western pallet.

"Change the plug" means you can swap it out or put a flimsy $0.25 adapter on it? And is the EU chargers Xiaomi branded or just some random chargers the seller added? Just curious as the last Xiaomi product I got had US plug.

Do everbuying and gearbest ship from the same warehouse? They seem to have the same setup (blue scale, black keyboard, postbag on the right side), which is kinda suspicious

>>53789631
I used points to get it down to 35, also this one has real lenses (not some plastic ones like the cheaper models) and got high marks in the reviews. I thought about just getting a cardboard model, but with shipping it wouldn't have costs 20+ for the good ones and I don't trust the sub $5 ones on ali
>>
>>53789059

There's not really much of a saving for something that's rebranded though, like a legit 4tb drive is $120 if you get the right deal.
>>
>>53789698
At least that would explain gearbest's slow processing, if they send orders to everbuying.
>>
>>53789631

It's EU Warehouse which has about a 20% markup just for the faster shipping.
>>
>>53789698
Gearbest owns everbuying, according to google.

also
>buy redmi pro 3 from gearbest EU store
>expedited shipping
>has been in my country since last week
>only moved 2 days ago to a local store
>still hasn't been delivered yet

I'm so frustrated.
>>
>>53789272
it's zoomable. The lens slides in and out to widen your beam.

If you push it all the way it, the LED acts like a projector and since the LED is square, the beam becomes a square.

This is the one I got with me Mi4c from GB. I don't use it, since I'm a little scared if the fire danger and the charging quality.
Also, I thought of some other charger when I replied, the normal international version for electronics is some slide on model
>>
>>53789429
Chinks sell all types of chargers, they often select suitable one depending on your shipping address country. You can easily find EU, US, UK and the fourth type on AliExpress.
>>
are there any chinkshit displays above 12"?
>>
>>53789522
I'd say if you'd use it, a genuine Zippo is probably the way to go. They're really faithful for their lifetime policy so if you buy one, you'll never have to buy another.
>>
>>53789429
eu here, using a xiaomi branded us plug with a 0.25 adapter, allthough i did throw out the one they send me and opted for a slightly better build one from dealextreme.
Looks like a fire hazard but so far so good, no sparks and the block doesnt heat up so i think its all good.

Yeah that adapter there on the left is a $0.25 one Chinks added in to save money on adapters and sell their products to people. Yes, pretty sure it does.

QC doesn't depend on the cable but on the source, I got one charger from aukey and one from tronsmart, both provide qc. As for the powerbanks, 2A output might charge faster but real qc modes also have a higher voltage (normally 9V) and I don't think any powerbank has this

The 10Ah model is 129 Yuan ~= 20 USD in China. It's very new, so maybe the resellers are still price gouging heavily.

The 20Ah model is 149 Yuan ~= 24 USD in China.

Ultimately, not that much. And unlike a lot of power banks on Amazon, these aren't shit.

Feels just like the the Deathadder desu. I like the dpi button, 4 settings, pulsating green is best. You need a good surface or else the sensor will skip around. Side buttons a little on the cheapo but give it a day or two and they'll become comfortable. The LMB and RMB feel legit, clicky AF like MX Blues. Mouse wheel is a 7/10 with the button itself a bit gummy. The braided cable is top tier and makes up for the mouse wheel.

Since it states the model application it probably comes with the correct harness plug. If it doesn't work you should get a replacement depending on where you're ordering from. It should be unopened unless they're modifying the plugs per order.
>>
>>53793378
Just for warning, touch screen or trying look GPS from that screen ain't very fun while driving.
>>
>>53793435
Yes, VAG cars have a proprietary harness for headunits. These headunits are modelled after the OEM ones. My only issue is that I've read that the finish on the bezels generally do not match the interior perfectly, that and who knows what OS they are running, a lot of them have Android but quite a few also have some strange OS that just looks like absolute shit.
>>
>>53793570
If it runs android that would be awesome. Also if the trim piece color is off is there a place to order touch up interior plastic paint? I didn't know VW dashes had that many color variations but of course a gray or tan/brown can even be incorrect coming from china.

Just got my Redmi Note 3 Pro 32gb/3gb in the mail.

I upgraded from a HTC One M7, thing is fuckin AWESOME. I thought going from 4.7in to 5.5in would be a big step up but the phone is barely bigger, maybe half an inch wider and taller. The smaller bezels made the upgrade smaller than I thought it'd be. It feels solid and great in your hand, just like the M7 does.

I was going to go directly to bootloader unlocking and installing that AOSP ROM but MIUI is actually kinda nice and I think I'll try it for awhile.

Should be able to. You have to fully discharge it first (be careful with this though, lithium batteries have a point where going lower than or higher than certain voltages will permanently damage them and, in the case of Li-Po batteries, cause them to explode.) Use something like >>53793640 to discharge them safely. That board in particular (there are 2 versions of the TP4056, unprotected and protected) has a switch that automatically cuts the battery off from the circuit if voltage is about to go too high or too low. For Lithium batteries those voltage are <3.75v and >4.2v

Drain batteries -> charge via USB cord to current tester to USB port -> look at the milliamp-hours readout when it's done

You could also nigger rig it by discharging them, plugging them into your computer's USB 2.0 port, and waiting until they're fully charged (again, don't under or overcharge them). Since USB 2.0 on computers can output a maximum of 500mA, you can estimate the mAh.

Muh Redmi Note 2 also looks like that, which is kinda why I'm probably going to get a Mi5 or something ASAP.
>>
>>53794217

They will send you a new one for free, if you want to speed up the process, make a video explaining the problem and upload it to your ticket.

Use HandBrake.exe to reduce the FPS to 10 or some shit, and lower the quality to reduce the video size, don't make a 30min video, a 30secs video with the problem is enough.

The good news is that now you have a spare band and spare charger.

Yup, it's fine. Pulse rate measurements are pretty accurate, I can use it with a 3rd party app of my choice, and it feels okay, plus the battery lasts ~1.5-2 weeks (haven't actually tested how long exactly at my current frequency of measuring heart rate) and charges in like an hour.

As expected, my Sanrenmu knife came in today. I was worried that it'd be a bit small, but it fits perfectly in my hand. Now I can open all the chink shit I keep ordering with ease. Cannot for the life of me open it one-handed though.

This Jap Vita case still smells chinky, so it's airing out in the garage. How long does it take to air out PU?

Oh and I got my ninja tool, which I suspect of being made out of andor painted with lead.

could probably compromise and get a non-removable one if it had all the rest.

Why are AMD processors so cheap on aliexpress?
>>
>>53794800
You can loosen the screw and lubricate it, but one-handed opening typically is pointless for a tool knife anyhow. Use your other hand, enjoy that it is easy to open.
>>
>>53794873
Because AMD is a third-world based company who make inferior, "knock-off" copies of American processor chips. They use child labor extensively in their third world sweatshops, and they deliberately disable the security features that American processor makers, such as Intel, use to prevent hacking.
>>
>>53794602
Even the chinese import Japanese Rice cookers, just get a Zojirushi.
>>
>>53794897
Ironically, AMD is American and Intel is Israeli.

Has anyone ever bought chinkshit electronic components (transistors, capacitors, resistors, etc.)? Any particular tips on what/where to buy?
>>
>>53795029

This has never happened to anyone. What scripts were you running?
>>
>>53795074
Nothing, I'm serious. I haven't done a single thing but buy things.
I can't login anymore because my account doesn't exist
>>
>>53795029
Why did they delete it? Did you make many accounts for coupons?
>>
>have 60$ order from gearbest that used cakebux
>order wasn't processed until after they removed the points
>after they processed it, they shipped everything apart from 2 of the most expensive items
>think that they're never going to ship those 2 items because of cakebux
>they end up shipping them anyway the next day

So either everything is going better than expected, or I'll get a package full of sand

When you pick it up from the Post Office record a video and open it. Upload to youtube if it's sand.

Or if you took it from the mailman then video record it too and unbox it.

I'm looking for some cheap useful shit to buy, I've bought a network card, a mouse, an iphone cover for my gf, now I'm looking for something cool, probably an electronic stuff where I can exercise my creativity, like an orange pi, but more electronic than a computer. Any ideas ?

Samsung manufactures memory and control chips on their own. I think they use them only internally, there are no other manufacturers using Samsung FLASH dies.

All other TF cards are using SanDisk/Toshiba memory chips and various controller chips (most often also SanDisk/Toshiba).
The difference is only where and who assembled them.

Their performance is comparable, if you run into good quality TFs. Since Samsung uses their hardware only in-house, it's harder to run into counterfeit memory cards. The most often faked ones are SanDisk (in Asia) and Kingston (west).

pic related

Also, Samsung offers few series of TFs. There are Orange and faster Reds. Not sure if any others.

i'm thinking about getting one for emu and watching shows. They look pretty cool
>>
>>53795060
Yes, some. Diodes, solar panels, usb power cables, step-up voltage converters ... yadda yadd.

Just buy them off the usual shops -be it aliexpress, fasttech, dx, or banggood or gearbest or tinydeal or whatever.
>>
>>53795213
Also, I have no way of changing it since the address needs to be working to change it, and they claim they can't change users emails
>>
>>53795060
if you're on ali buy from high rated sellers with lots of orders, even if it might not be the dirt cheapest
>>

Last time I checked, there is one overpriced importer/adopter for them in 240V Europe. prices are almost double of what they are in 110V land.

And Xiaomi is excellent at engineering shit. I figure it is good enough for me. (Wouldn't be surprised if it drastically reduced sales of Japanese rice cookers in China, too...)

>>53795036
Thanks for the hint. I expected as much, but I think I can deal with that.

Yes. They do a tremendous amount of e-waste processing there. Regulations makes it cheaper for western countries to send their electronics back to China rather than process it locally.

Not right now, I think. The colors are too boring, and the price is yanked up.

I figure that for this one, the inevitable cheaper clones will also work great.

Alipay is the safest way to pay shit on the internet, you can get your money back for nearly any reason or no reason at all, why would you not trust them with your credit card but trust a scum option like Paypal.
