Pantheon, nigga.
And it's pretty great.

Had to drop it, sadly.

LXDE when I actually use a DE. Recently I've been experimenting with just using a WM and haven't noticed to many differences and might ditch LXDE.

It's worked great for me so far. I tried Gnome but it was too clunky for me.

With the computing power and ram available in 1900+116, there is no excuse not to be running KDE, unless your computer is more than 15 years old.

What if I just don't want a ton of visual bloat everywhere?

Compiz/AWN.
>>53763830
Everything, that uses KDE libs, loads slowly. Unless you have an SSD, KDE is not worth it.

Aqua or whatever the fuck the OS X one is called.
Shit works fine, but name doesn't really seem appropriate anymore.

Cinnamon.

I tried to give Gnome 3 a fair chance by using it exclusively for 2 months, but it's complete and utter shit.
>>
>>53762082
I switched from GNOME 2.0 to XFCE a few years ago.
XFCE has become prety good.
Worst part about it tumblerd , this shit crashes often and eats resources like there is no tomorrow.

I started on mint and now on arch it just werks and looks great. Also applets allow for some customization.

second pick would be budgie, but it fairly similar cinnamon but is super bloated because it relies on having gnome shell
>>
Gnome here. Terrible defaults but really nice after fifteen to twenty minutes of customisation. Just make sure to trawl through gnome-tweak-tool and extensions.gnome.org.
>>
Using stock Ubuntu MATE. Gets the job done and only a few infuriating bugs mostly related to unsuppirted GPU drivers.

You ain't foolin' no on boi. Pretty jelly otherwise. Is gentoo worth it?
