Windows 10 is faster, free, and great. It doesn't spy on you unlike what the paranoid idiots here would have you believe. It's the best and most secure operating system of 2016, and taking advantage of the free upgrade is a no-brainer.

Yeah you should take advantage of the upgrade. It's probably the best operating system of 2016. It's much more resource efficient and the new appstore is great.

I love Windows 10. Everything about it is just so much better. It looks nicer, has the new Edge browser, is more secure, and it uses less memory than Windows 8.1

I agree privacy issues are overblown, but they are still issues.
OP, be sure you look at every option when logging in for the first time, and look through every option in settings after installing and updating. Tons of toggles and options to turn off when first going in.
After that however, its pretty darn good. I am happy I upgraded.

Upgrade to Windows 10 before July. That way you still get the free digital entitlement for activation. If you don't like Windows 10, you can uninstall it and go back to your previous version within the first 30 days. If you do uninstall it, at least you have the free digital entitlement, so that in the future, (when you need to upgrade for a program or game) you can still upgrade for free.
