OK /g/, I have an idea for a "trap" of sorts if the FBI ever confiscates your hard drives full of CP and illegal animus. This is assuming you're using some form of GNU/Linux and have encrypted your data, of course.
Set up a separate user with a different password than your main user. Give this new user write and execute perms on everything your main user owns (specifically your CP and amine) but make sure it doesn't have read perms on ANYTHING except for its own home directory.
Now write a bash script that removes and wipes all of your sensitive data and set it to run when you log in as the "trap" user.
So now when the FBI comes a-knocking on your door, make it seem like you're cooperating and give them the credentials for your "trap" user and Voilà! You're off scotch-free! :D

It's pretty easy to check if a file is encrypted or not especially if the potential unencrypted file format is known to be some sort of visual media. Just check if the file contains a header following the format of any known media format. If it doesn't then it's likely to be encrypted.
