Way too many people pirating would be my guess. Shit used to be expensive as hell to buy a full program. Now it's expensive as hell to use - $240/year for photoshop. It's like buying a new program each year. Bottom line is Adope products are used by professionals for work, and they have to use these programs. No real alternative as powerful and ubiquitous exists.
