very happy with my TI 89 titanium, i hear the V200 is a borderline PDA
i have this one from the 90s and it still works
Wolfram Alpha
the classic ti-82 is probably the best bang for your buck, useful for basically everything, rugged, nothing too fancy, just werks, etc
Also this thread made me think of the one time when my teacher was teaching us how to graph cos/sin functions without a calculator and said "when you're actually working you wont always have a calculator with you", and now I can just do all that shit on my phone and I literally do have a calculator with me all the time. fuck you grade 9 pre-calc teacher, fuck you

RPN, bitches.
Ti-84. Works perfectly.
If it won't get you on Facebook then it doesn't belong on neo-/g/.

Loved my HP48GX while in engineering school but have little use for it now. Everything at work is done on a computer.

>128K RAM
Ti-83+ or Ti-84 with a monochrome screen.
Don't fall for the color screen meme, you are trading speed for looks.

In the late 90s that was ok. Most EE work did fine in that amount of memory.
Why is she so perfect?
TI83+
if you need an algebra solving system use a computer. The buttons are literally perfect. Its only flaw is no RPN, but that's reaching into autism territory.
>use calculators during all of highschool
>become math major
>no calculators allowed
Well, that was a waste of time.
The only reason to use a calculator is if you are a student. In which case buy what your teachers recommend.
Otherwise just use matlab, octave, maple, sage, mathematica, wolfram, julia, R, or the scipy stack. Pick whichever fits your needs or budget, though all of them are far more powerful and convenient than a handheld calculator.
TI 83+, it's more convenient than opening Mathematica even if I'm already on the computer.

don't listen to anyone saying TI
Can't some of the newer TIs connect to the internet or something? I heard about them being banned in exams nowdays.

You're right that was a waste of time. At least you'll be all set to calculate how much money you wasted.
>>53745197
even the prehistoric TI-83 is a full BASIC programming environment that can sideload Z80 applications

I probably played that space invaders clone on TI-83+ for at least 1000 hours in high school
