want to replace my 7 years old acer 1080p monitor with something new
basically for internet, videos and little online gaming
what are useful features in current monitors?
>curved / flat
>ips / oled / TN
>1080 / 1440 / 4k
>glossy or not
any suggestion for a 24" or 27" monitor?
I just got two Asus PB258Q 25" IPS 2560x1440p monitors.
They have tiny ass bezels and look nice as fuck.
Saved $600 over getting the LG 34UC98 that I was considering, and I have more resolution this way (5120x1440 instead of 3440x1440)
imo curved only benefits 21:9 monitors. you probably shouldn't get one though, unless you also need a monitor for productivity.
don't get TN unless youre fucking Islamic extremist hardcore as a gamer. IPS is a good way to go, oled has a burn in issue and is too expensive.
for resolution, do anything but 4k.
24 inch wont benefit much from it but I guess its good with a 27
is any of this good?
>Samsung S27E510C
1080p IPS
27" LED
Curved Monitor
4ms
>Asus VX279H 68,6
1080p IPS
27" LED
5ms
>Asus VC279H
1080p IPS
27" LED
5ms
maybe some korean 1440p IPS?
and what about curved?

If its just light use just get a 1080p monitor. Majority of video content maxes out at 1080p anyways.
Just gonna hijack your thread and ask here.
>Is there any 4k monitor worth buying right now
>is it reasonably priced?
After visiting my brother and spending some time with his new 5k iMac, I decided that it's finally time to let 1080p die once and for all. Is there any one worth getting right now? Anything special coming out soon? Are there finally decent IPS ones?
I picked up two 23in HP IPS monitors at 1080p for about $120 a pop on Black Friday. I was thinking of getting the next size up for 1440 but I just don't have that kind of room on my desk for two of them. Both panels look fantastic. I did end up having to RMA one of them because of some back light bleed on the side of one but the replacement I got is perfect. Can't complain.

What is that thing of beauty on the far left?
