I've decided to quit trying to do it my self because so far it's cost me about £120 haha.
I know I could have done it if it wasn't for the LEDs. Tiny little pins, fuck 'em.
I've emailed the company that makes the boards though and asked if they can either send me a PCB with no switches or if they can swap the blues for browns for me before shipping and they've said they're looking into it for me so fingers crossed they can and it won't cost like £300.

Go to used furniture stores. There are real wooden desks executive sized and a fraction of the cost of the particle board desks that are sold in Ikea. Also shipping is not much as ikea as well.

A 10" by 19" rack, I have the 260 mm depth version. So it's not usable like an actual rack obviously but small things can go in there.

A board with just two brackets is guaranteed to support 20 kilos. And this is a underestimated number since Ikea plays safe. I used 12 cm long screws (thats about 4 inch) and 5 brackets to support the 30 kilos that these two computers make up. The computers are also fixed to the wall with straps which go through two metal hooks that are drilled into the wall with 2 screws each. It's basicly overkill safe. It takes a lot of fucking force to pull even one of the screws with it's dowel out of the wall. You can't just rip it out with a plier or anything.

Well, I made it from pine. It was a 40cm wide board so I glued two 190cmx40cm pieces together to make the main part of the desk and two additional pieces to make the thickened sides as you see here >>53757294
I glued it with wood glue and and to make it more durable I had these small pieces of wood that looked like wooden oval shaped cookies. Then i routed out cavities for those "cookies" on both pieces and glued them together leaving the cookie in. There is a name and a brand for this but I just can't remember and google didn't help me on this one.
Then I milled the edges round, sanded the top real smooth and stained it with black wood stain. Then I applied several coats of lacquer and sanded in between coats.
Drilled some 2x4cm boards to the wall, set the table on 'em and secured it with some angle iron.

What can I say, I wanted a black desk.
I do a lot of crafting and building etc. so a white or plain wooden desk would get dirty and unappealing pretty fast.

I will probably replace all of these cheap power strips with mountable strips and get rid of the Ikea cable trays.
Just got my monitor on a wall mountable arm. Feel so nice to pull the monitor closer to me, my desk is kinda deep so my face as almost 40 inches from my monitor now I got it pulled to about 24 inches. Also can spin it around to portrait.as well. Only regret I didn't do it sooner.
My SMSL amp will be here tomorrow, gonna dump the mediocre corsair speakers and run my Pioneers. Will pick up some JBL 230s at a later date.
