I want to buy a used SSD because I'm poor but I really want an SSD. I've never had an SSD before. Is there anything I need to look out for when buying one used?

You could get one of those chinese ssds, check the /csg/. There's a sale right now, you can get 240gb for $45. Checking reviews, they seem to be ok, they use the same Silicon Motion controller that's in the AData Sp550.

If you buy a used SSD like on eBay or something, just ask the seller to post SSDlife or CDM benchmarks, and if they do, or were already part of the listing, it's probably alright to buy. No details beyond "works great!!" and a refusal for details means it's probably either on it's last legs or is having the midlife runs-like-shit-now phase. I got a used 850 Pro this way, and there's nothing memeworthy about it so far
