Sorry mods

There are four ways to try GNU/Linux, you can:

0) Install a GNU/Linux OS on a VM (Virtual Machine/VirtualBox) for "safety purposes"
1) Use the Live ISO directly without installing anything, that way, you can get a "full GNU/Linux experience".
2) Dual-boot GNU/Linux with Windows/Mac (recommended if you want to learn more about GNU/Linux)
3) Go balls deep and overwrite everything with GNU/Linux

Before asking, please search for answers to your questions in resources.

Please be civil, notice the "Friendly" in every Friendly GNU/Linux Thread.

Understand that much of your software from Windows will be unavailable, although maybe WINE can make up for it.

I've got two monitors, primary is smaller and on the bottom (laptop), bigger one is above it. What I want to do is to make desktop icons default to the laptop screen.

I've tried this on MATE, XFCE and Cinnamon and neither seems to allow it by default; icons always autoarrange to the top leftmost screen. Is there any way to circumvent this on either DE?

Trying to setup some smb shares on my newly created mdadm array.

Ive already done chown -r user:user /mnt/RAID10 but when I try to add a folder to share I can't select a user/password.

How can I try Linux on this?

So this is the output I get when I update, upgrade, and dist-upgrade in Debian Unstable.
It's basically telling me to get outta here with that weak MEGAsync stuff.

If I just delay resolving this dependency, will anything bad happen? Should I start looking for some other file sync service?

Hit http://ftp.mx.debian.org/debian unstable InRelease
Ign http://mega.nz/linux/MEGAsync/xUbuntu_15.04 ./ InRelease

AND yes I know it says Ubuntu, but I used the Debian 9.0 installer from their site. (8.0 had a broken dependency with unstable)

Found your problem.

I don't see what you mean. I'm not complaining about apt, I'd just like to know if I'm better off using some other sync service that is not MEGA, since it's not on the official repos

I am using windows 10 and dabble on a sysadmin tutorial in order to get a small part time job with a Virtual Machine.
And I really want to understand as a naive, but slowly less ignorant and arrogant person:
What is bash programming good for besides work?
I really want to grow more mature and want to understand, but this thought permeates my brain and I need someone who can give me more reasons than I can come up with.

Remove and reinstall nacho

Does someone know if there is a WM like 9wm, but that you can customize a little bit. Stuff like cursor, background color and most importantly, which button to press?

Hey guys, I have a dumb question regarding something in mint.

whenever I download an image (using chrome, inb4 bot net), mint's default image viewer automatically opens it. I realize it's something I've triggered, but I'm not sure how to stop it. It's particularly annoying when I'm pulling an image dump. Is there any way to switch it back to not auto-open images? thanks!
