the Fiio X1/X3 does, not sure about the M3; You can get a sports armband for the X# and it plays lossless formats. Also I have read that the M3 might have problems playing long files so if you use it for audiobooks or like 2112 you might want to look at the X1 or something. I have the X3 and I thing it's a great little device

m3 looks a lot better b/c $55. i know it doesn't play flac, so i'd have to convert to v0. which isn't the biggest deal, but flac quality would be nice.
at $55, though, im wondering if shelling out the extra $15 for a clip+ rockbox might just be better.

I don't but they seem to have good battery life, not the advertised 80h though. The makers also keep in contact with the community, and currently want to make a rockboxable player.

I have a Clip Sport.
It's nice if you're a more casual user. It has support for pretty much any format you want but you're better of using mp3 to be honest. Using Vorbis shortens it's battery life considerably and I haven't bothered testing anything else since it says on the box that all their testing was done using mp3. I was hoping you could put Rockbox on it but you can't.

I have thrashed my clip+ since i bought it years back and it has held up fine if you still have it, open it up, you might've just knocked something loose inside, you have nothing to lose.
I broke the clip off mine and the only things I could replace it with are made from metal and so far no glue I've tried has been able to stick properly.

Back in 2009/2010 yes it was a viable option for cheap good audio but you autistic fucks are paying like $60+ for them now since they've been discontinued. Best music player I've ever owned. I'm not sure why some of you have had so much trouble with damages and whatnot, maybe I've just been lucky.
I also don't really get why some of you seem to think carrying a music player separate from your phone is a dumb or autistic thing to do. It hardly takes up any pocket space, has a battery that lasts a day or three of use, and I can use up to a 128GB microsd card for my music and audio books.
I bought each of them for under $30 originally, and they're two of my best /g/-related purchases. I definitely recommend snatching one up if you can find one for cheap before they all dry up and disappear.

I could store my clip+ in my asshole and barely notice it.. The only thing I use PMP's for is exercise and I'm never going to have a phone the size of a clip weighing less than an ounce. Something the size of a clip is what you need for running, biking or even lifting.
I don't see the point of a high capacity phone sized PMP's, but ultra small ones will always have a place.
I find them handy when traveling too.

I prefer to use mp3 players as opposed to my phone simple because of battery life. I have a cheap sansa fuze that works fine for music, I see no reason to needlessly drain the battery of my phone.

Ipod Touch 4th gen here. I have it protected with a full body Zagg shield and it's mint if I removed it. The shield is scuffed up tho. Ipod Touch is crap. Preset equalizers only. I think you would need a app but fuck that.
My 512mb MP3 v0 player gets more use with Custom EQ.
