Why use i3 when sway is out
Why use X when wayland is out
http://swaywm.org/
Why use either wen my OS already has a window manager famalam
awesome is superior
Sway is an i3-compatible window manager for Wayland.
Tiling window managers shit the bed when it comes to multi monitor setups, that's why I stick to KDE. Emacs on one monitor, web browser on another and then server stats if there is a third going.
Whats better in wayland compared to x11?

Of course I'll switch to it in the future and I can't wait to do that but I'm just not comfortable right now with it and I don't have the spare time and energy to contribue.

That being said I try the git version from time to time. I also have no idea how the fuck to migrate my xinitrc to wayland.
I like cwm better. I don't like tiling that much.
Wayland is fixing something that aint broke.

This is actually pretty good to hear, thanks for the headsup.
>>53717438
wayland is bloat
>>53716461
They are usually at their best on multi screen setups imo
Most stackers don't treat each display as having its own workspaces but tilers usually do
>>53717862
X11 is totally secure ... except that any process connected to the server can do whatever the fuck it want to
