I've been using KMPlayer for the last eternity or two. I use an older version from the latest, less bloatware and weird BS, and it's been amazing so far.
Till the last few days where it crashes every single time I'm watching something within 5-10 mins.
So I'm having to use VLC for now. And I am not a huge fan.
Any better suggestions/alternatives for KMPlayer?!

I use MPC Black with the Kawaii Codec Pack for videos and Winamp for music. Works pretty well for me.

Comes with everything you need, don't use Kawaii codec pack, it's shit-tier and besides there have been no advancements for reasons that's why cccp-project has stalled, no need to fix what isn't broken.

This man knows what good softwares are.
JRiver media center. Its a bit unstable at times but makes up for it in insane power and features. It even got a built in feature for a virtual windows soundcard to let you make programs like spotify go through JRiver so you can upmix downmix dsp equalize asio etc. Its the Photoshop of media players, sure not perfect but dear lord what a cool piece software.
