As well as it has always been. You have to cope with the limitations though.
Win7 will never have native NVMe support, DX12 or proper resolution scaling.

So you've willingly let your system stay vulnerable to 3 years worth of 0-day exploits?

You retards that never update to get patches and security fixes should seriously all fucking kill yourselves.

If you're so fucking stupid that you don't even think you're better off letting your OS update (when you clearly should) then perhaps you should either stop using computers to switch to an OS that you don't have some irrational retarded fear of letting it update and close security holes.

Or you know, just do what I said earlier and fucking kill yourselves.

Basically if one day there will be a day 0 exploit that lets you execute code OUTSIDE the application that's being used (by a combination of buffer overflow, memory injections and what ever methods are used out there, I'm no IT security guy, I don't know that much), people who hadn't updated their systems will be one of the first targets to be affected by those exploits.
Regardless, if microsoft wouldn't change how windows works with literally every update, hide near-useless updates that rather instead of improving workflow, add another useless feature and ruin everything you had prior and have those updates reset years worth of accumulated options throughout the system, I'd consider turning them back on again.
There's a reason why factory machines run XP and they aren't hooked up to network outside the factory.
>>
>>53714000
What I'm asking is, how will they reach my computer in the first place? There's such a thing called the firewall these days.

an exploit such as "JPG of death", which would work by getting you to save an image. then when windows tries to make a thumbnail out of it, it would cause a buffer overflow in the JPG decoding program and run malicious code.

a security hole of this magnitude would be widely alerted on the internet, though.
>>
It will be fine until the next gen games roll out that require dx12 then your fucked.

Also your basically using an OS that is feature frozen in 2009 so it's already getting pretty dated. Not to mention MS is actively trying to kill it off because they really don't want to even support it anymore.

Oh believe me, I do know buzzwords, I just don't know how they're performed. And firewalls only protect you from getting directly connected to. And even then, rarely.
Regardless.
Let me break down the glorious connection to the internet for you.
You type in an address. Your PC/whatever calls a DNS to resolve the address for your desired webpage.
Then, your PC connects to that webpage and DOWNLOADS the code used to generate a website.
Afterwards your web browser is interpreting that code and generates a nice web page for your liking.
See where I'm going?
Now say, that webpage had the ability to post comments. They can post things like "lmao cats are awsum" or ">implying" and what not. And say I post
<script>console.log("ur a fag");</script>
.
Now here's what the servers that host comments did back when myspace was a thing and you weren't:
They accepted the comment and showed it to other users. What they did see was an empty block and their web browser console wrote "ur a fag".
Meanwhile proper procedure would be both stripping the comment of HTML tags and escaping the result before sending the generated webpage to the user (replacing <, /, \, etc with their equivalent &;somecode)
This was literally the most basic exploit out there. Writing a script in an unescaped comment.
Oh and firewalls don't detect that one because it's a fucking webpage.
Any questions?

You can just pop W7 iso's contents into USB flash drive's root and it'll boot. There's no need to go through those hoops anymore.
