What does /g/ use for backing up data?

Trying to use grsync from sourceforge (for windows) at the moment but it doesnt include folder hierarchy correctly.

And?
Just becaues it can make incremental snapshots of your drive/partitions does not mean it cant do incremental backup of just folders and files

veeam is $4billion company that is king of the hill in virtual machine world, that just do consumer backup software for free just because it feels like it..

its really the best thing out there

but theres others
syncback is fine, very nicely configurable

Alright bro, I'll be sure to give it an honest try. Appreciate the suggestions.

well I realized I was kinda wrong with the impression
the backup ends up in an image similar to whole partition backup
I thought its would be accessible

anyway, I also just realized that syncback cant do incremental backup
so it can keep your copy of a place up to date, but tahts all, at least free version

Also you know about file history on windows 8.1/10?
that might be just what you want and its incremental perfect backup solution for just files and folders... that is as long as they are in your profile

Robocopy works for me, using it to do incremental backups to external hard drives.

aomei is better for partition backups as it shows all partitions including linux and efi, not just user-visible ntfs-formatted ones like pajeetam
