There is cloud9, I use it for c programming. It's like a personal gnu/Linux environment on the cloud with about 4-5 gigs of personal storage

Just checked it out, that's swell hombre but my thing is not nearly as useful. It's really intended for small adhoc programs and I definitely don't have enough server space to give anyone 4 - 5 gigs of personal space.

These large web services have ruined everyone for the rest of us by making huge amounts of user space a normal expectation for everyone.
